\"\"This summer, some members of femProcomuns have been to Kassel, where documenta fifteen was held. This important exhibition of contemporary art, on an international scale, takes place every five years in the same German city.<\/p>\n

We were very interested in Lumbung as an inspirational idea for documenta. Lumbung is an Indonesian word that means rice barn, but it can also mean: friendship, working well together, sharing, looking after everyone within the group.
\nAs they explain in documenta fifteen, in Indonesia there are lumbungs, these rice barns found in many towns, when the peasants have too much rice they store it in these wooden buildings, so if the townspeople need so, they take some rice from the barn, always following the rules they have agreed upon. In this way, people help each other.<\/p>\n

This idea has inspired the documenta fifteen held this year in Kassel and has led different artists to work together and help each other, sharing ideas, making works of art or contributing money so that others can make works of art.<\/p>\n
