As a cooperative we want to be a strategic social tool for the viability of the commons, therefore we join today’s Climate Strike and we subscribe the manifesto<\/a><\/span> and join the demonstration<\/a><\/span> at 6 pm in Barcelona. However, we emphasize that a manifesto and a demonstration are not sufficient if they don’t come with real and radical changes to transform the business, production, consumption and mobility models that guides them above any environmental sustainability, economic and social consideration.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nWater, the sun, ecological diversity, are all commons which we only realize exist when they are threatened with privatization, exhaustion or destruction. Now we realize that also the climate is threatened and that human activity, guided by exploitation and maximization of profit, is leading us to a situation of emergency, which will need to be managed collectively on other social, political and economic foundations. Life is on Earth long before humanity, but when humanity got to it, it took on the responsibility of managing the commons well and in a sustainable and equitable way. When the commons are threatened we must articulate ourselves and mobilise as the affected community.<\/span><\/div>\n

Al hablar de la polinizaci\u00f3n de las plantas como un bien com\u00fan, se plantea el interrogante de si podr\u00eda ser de otra manera. (…) Si nos creemos que la polinizaci\u00f3n es un fen\u00f3meno natural comparable, por ejemplo, a las leyes de la gravitaci\u00f3n universal o que los principios electrobioqu\u00edmicos que regulan la miriada de interacciones neuronales son aut\u00f3nomas y no reprogramables, entonces podemos estar muy equivocados.\u00a0 Las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas pueden alterar, directa o indirectamente, el sistema de orientaci\u00f3n de las abejas o el funcionamiento del cerebro humano, al extremo de que lleguemos a considerar que est\u00e1 en peligro un bien que cre\u00edamos inagotable o inapropiable, como est\u00e1 pasando con el aire, las matem\u00e1ticas, las calles o el folclore. Hay, en efecto, una profunda relaci\u00f3n entre nuevas tecnolog\u00edas y nuevos patrimonios, pues todos los d\u00edas aparecen nuevas posibilidades de cercar o de abusar de un bien que s\u00f3lo comenzamos a valorar cuando empieza a estar amenazado.Si una empresa puede usar los mares o la atm\u00f3sfera para echar la basura que produce y ahorrase los costes de una producci\u00f3n no contaminante o alguien descubre la manera de modificar los genes de alguna especie y patentar nuevas formas de vida, la humanidad en su conjunto tiene el derecho a sentirse amenazada y a reclamar la condici\u00f3n de procom\u00fan para el aire que respiramos y el genoma que la bioqu\u00edmica, el tiempo y el azar nos han legado. Las comunidades que crean y son creadas por los nuevos procomunes son entonces comunidades de afectados que se movilizan para no renunciar a las capacidades que permit\u00edan a sus integrantes el pleno ejercicio de su condici\u00f3n de ciudadanos o, incluso, de seres vivos.<\/p>\n
