The FESC (Solidarity Economy Fair of Catalonia) is underway and has opened its 10th edition! It’s been already 10 years for the FESC to show what is done in the solidarity economy in Catalonia and to create a space where to facilitate collaborations and exchanges.
femProcomuns will have a stand in the fair, over the weekend (23rd and 24th October). Come to meet us!
Those of you who are already members of CommonsCloud, you can get a t-shirt and a poster (if your size is still available!). If you want to become a member, and you do it over the fair, you’ll get a 15% discount on services during the first year.
You will also find information about the other projects at femProcomuns: Teixidora.net; workshops, programmes and support to projects from Transitant and the Open Network of Internet of Things (XOIC, acronym in Catalan). We’ll also be offering discounts on some of these services, you can find them in the “Promotions” section in the FESC website https://fesc.xes.cat/
But the FESC already started before the weekend. On Sunday 17 October, it opened, with a conversation between Marina Garcés and Silvia Federici. We were there and took open notes that we will publish in Teixidora.net. If you missed it and want to do a quick review or if, on the contrary, you want to reflect on the text calmly, you can access the notes here: https://pad.femprocomuns.cat/fesc17102021
You can also remember or find out what was said at FESC in 2017, for example about the confluence between the #commons and the #SolidaryEconomy, or how we saw the world in 2018 or in 2019, before the Pandemic, see Teixidora.net.
During the week, FESC has scheduled various activities in online format. Monday 18 October in the afternoon you will find us participating in the activity on “digital commons at the service of cooperativism” where we will be explaining support programmes (including La Comunificadora, Matchimpulsa and Learning to Grow coop) and technological solutions made from cooperativism (including CommonsCloud, Teixidora, la Zona and GRETA Network). It will be streamed via the following link: https://fesc.xes.cat
