CommonsCloud.coop offers cloud tools with a 3 months free subscription plus one year at a discount price, to get cooperatives to start off on the right foot in the use of technoethical technologies.
In terms of the use of management, sharing and communication technologies, cooperatives starting out often find themselves chained to the use of corporate tools from multinationals such as Google, Microsoft, Zoom or Amazon. They look for free options until they start their economic activity, this choice generates a dependency which is then difficult to shake off, they will have already been exposed to the bad data exploitation practices of these surveillance capitalist companies.
In order to respond to this need, CommonsCloud.coop makes it easier for newly created cooperatives (which have registered their statutes and are awaiting a resolution or have been approved by the Registry within the previous 3 months):
They get 3 months “free” with 100% discount on Office, Meet, ERP or Agora services, linked to a contract that is activated after the 4th month.
During the first year (following 12 months) they receive a 30% discount on the same tools that they have contracted or contract during this period (and they can pay in monthly or annual instalments).
From the first moment they are full members and can participate in the assembly and other participation spaces.
They can cancel their membership at any time if they no longer need the service.

Commonscloud.coop is a resource pooling project. It aims to be sustainable based on the fees and services paid by individuals and organisations that are members. This would go against offering discounts, but we also understand that we must give options to newly formed cooperatives to start off on the right foot and will later (when their activity allows for it) contribute to the project, like other partner organisations do.
