Last Sunday at the Espai Òmnium in Manresa, Lia Montalvo and Ramon Fontdevila recited a series of poems that are in the public domain. Their spoken voice was transcribed using the PliegO’Maker tools for speech-to-text recognition and transcription, and document editing and composition.

The participants in the meeting were shown how they will be able to collect the spoken voice from their mobile phones and lay it out, and then print it out and take it home, in the form of a paper booklet.

In this way, we recover chapbook literature which popularised reading in the centuries following the invention of the printing press, we pass it through the sieve of digital technologies and the internet and return it to printed paper.
