With the motto-question “Local and responsible consumption. Lets APPtivate consumption?” SomHackathon 5th edition promoted by TecnoCampus, SomMobilitat and Mataró City Council will take place from 16 to 19 April 2021. femProcomuns is part of the organisation’s technical team.
Fifty participating students have a challenge: to build technological solutions for local and responsible consumption. And they have to solve it over three intense days with the support of about fifteen mentors. This year’s hackathon will be 100% online. We’ll use free-software tools such as Zulip’s forum-chat channels and Meet.coop’s video conferencing rooms. Any code and documentation generated will be published on GitHub.
Training capsules are scheduled over the weekend to provide information, knowledge and inspiration to the participating teams. These capsules will be delivered by TecnoCampus professors, staff from Mataró City Council Economic Promotion Department, as well as members of cooperatives such as Opcions, La Feixa (supermarket), Coop de pedal, Cinc sénies (agricultural association), Katuma, Adevinta, SomEnergia, SomConnexió, SomMobilitat, and ourselves, femProcomuns.
